How to Enter Shows

AIMHC and its members run many shows throughout the year. In the past, the club has had a strong focus on mail-in photo shows, but now many club members are turning towards live shows for their hobby fix.

The AIMHC quarterly newsletter advertises shows held by its members. While many of our shows in the newsletter are for mail-in photo shows, we also advertise live shows hosted by our members around Australia and New Zealand. You can also find the occasional online photo show advertised as well!

For information on taking photos, and entering mail-in photo shows, please see the Photo Showing page.

The Live Showing page has lots of information on entering live shows.

AIMHC runs an own online photo show twice per year. Held on Photobucket, the show enables entrants to enter and compete against other club members. Entry to the show costs $4 AUD, and the show has over 60 classes to enter.

Find the AIMHC Photobucket account here (password protected).

The show is judged by volunteer club members, and entry is not just restricted to realistic photos for photo showing - studio-type photos, and photos taken at live shows are welcome as well.

If you have never entered an online show on Photobucket before, the club has published a short series of articles to walk you through the process step by step, with pictures and diagrams to make the process easier.

Note: the articles make reference to the AIMHC Online Photo Show being a Standard show (awarding double points). As of January 2013, the show is no longer a standard show and thus awards only single points.
